This video was made in the Antwerp, Belgium Central (Train) Station on March 23, 2009, with no warning to the passengers passing through the station. At 8:00 am a recording of Julie Andrews singing ‘Do, Re, Mi’ begins to play on the public address system. (more…)

Free Business Strategy For A Sunday Morning

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

With the Super Bowl taking up most of today, that’s still no reason to miss out on some potential money making ideas for yourself online.

And we’ve got a truly interesting idea for you today.

Almost nine years ago, when I was just getting into the publishing online business, a friend of mine was running (and may still be, we fell out of touch) a highly successful catalog-type business – yes from online!

At the time, I was extremely busy doing other things, although in the back of my brain I knew she was on to something.

So, lucky you! This morning I came across how you can grab yourself a Free copy of Retailers Forum Magazine.

RetailersForum is going digital. Until recently it was only available in its offline form. However, now they plan to each month – on the 1st of each month – release their current free digital version!

What you’ll find are wholesale items like:

o Jewelry
o Apparel
o Gifts
o Novelties
o and more

They are even throwing in “informative business articles.”

RetailersForum offer to you is straightforward and very simple. They are inviting new startups or established businesses who need to find merchandise to read their free magazine!

Let’s face it, with times like they are having options to make money online is without a doubt critical. This company has been around so long that they helped others back during the recession of the 80s and 90s.

RetailForums has been in business since 1981, and it’s definitely worth a little effort on your part to visit that link above (put down the nachos for just two seconds) and see what they can do for your business online and off!

Enjoy!

What Were You Doing When The $135 Offer Was On the Table?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Yesterday, while Entrecarding it, I came across Michael’s So-Called Life.

And… his July 8th post most certainly caught my attention :)

We’ve talked here on this blog (and will continue to talk) about various ways to make money as a blogger (see our numerous postings in search form here). We even spoke about our testing of SocialSpark and getting paid to write.

And, not to leave website owners out, we’ve covered ways to make money that rely on your skills not your ability to talk “Aunt Sally” (remember her?) into buying into that next “hot program” :)

So it wasn’t surprising that the universe provided us with the perfect outside source – Michael – who also was talking about writing for money, AND giving us specific examples of just HOW MUCH MONEY (for him). (more…)

How Much Is Your Blog Worth – Goofing Off On A Sunday

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Doing my Entrecard, Blogcatalog, visiting other people’s blogs thing this beautiful Sunday morning, and I came across:

How Much Is Your Blog Worth

courtesy of my visit to BloggerFocus.

Not expecting much (even BloggerFocus was laughing with their returned amount of $0.00) I went ahead and visited the link… just to see.

You’ll see our result in the left hand sidebar – wow what a surprise!

Now who in the world would pay us that much we have no idea, but the really neat thing is that in terms of “value” it does appear that all our very hard work to promote and interact within the blog community (and outside it, too) is really “paying off.”

We work daily on using the very features and resources we tell you about here on ourselves. I call it “work” only because yes it is in the promote your website (blog) category. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Getting out and about visiting other people’s websites is fun, informative, and common sense.

You want to be discovered, right? Well to do so you must be willing to get your hands dirty and interact.

“Good things come to those who wait” is so misleading.
“Good things come to those that go after good things” should take its place.

QUESTIONS:

What major form of interacting and promoting do you use?

What do you consider a complete waste of time and why?

What is your blog worth?
