And Forcedgreen Gets the Gold!

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

If ever there is a Gold Medal for blogging, Linda Rembowski of Forcedgreen would win hands down!

The August 16th edition of the WebProNews includes a quick (I don’t know what to call it… article? post? tidbit?) of information from their staff writer, David A. Utter. He writes:

The popularity contest of blogging and gaining links and traffic doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and work.

And, of course, he’s not far off the mark. However, today we’ve got the great pleasure of taking our Sunday Fun Day to tell you about the huge success of (more…)

What Were You Doing When The $135 Offer Was On the Table?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Yesterday, while Entrecarding it, I came across Michael’s So-Called Life.

And… his July 8th post most certainly caught my attention :)

We’ve talked here on this blog (and will continue to talk) about various ways to make money as a blogger (see our numerous postings in search form here). We even spoke about our testing of SocialSpark and getting paid to write.

And, not to leave website owners out, we’ve covered ways to make money that rely on your skills not your ability to talk “Aunt Sally” (remember her?) into buying into that next “hot program” :)

So it wasn’t surprising that the universe provided us with the perfect outside source – Michael – who also was talking about writing for money, AND giving us specific examples of just HOW MUCH MONEY (for him). (more…)

Fire Up Your Online Earning and Advertising Potential With SocialSpark!

Monday, June 16th, 2008

(If there had been room in the title I would have also added “and make money or advertise” with this great Alexa Traffic Rank 8,567 service.)

A while back we signed up for SocialSpark one of those rare social media marketing websites that give both bloggers and advertisers a central location to either make money (bloggers) or find lots of willing individuals to write about your program (advertisers). Of course, that’s not withstanding that once written about, the advertiser, too, stands to see a potential huge increase in sales :)

So what exactly is SocialSpark and why should you join?

For openers, (more…)

The Best of Both Worlds – A Promotion Tool for Bloggers and Research Resource for Internet Marketers

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

A while back on Andy Beard’s blog, I read his review of both TrafficJam and Blogrush. Andy’s post leans heavy on the TrafficJam side, but conveys lots of additional information you also might want to know.

Please Note: To have your posts show up in TrafficJam, you will need to sign up a FREE account first at Blogrush

Here’s a quote from Andy’s post (the links out are ours):

“Even if you have absolutely no interest in TrafficJam or Blogrush, I strongly suggest you read this post, especially if you are interested in viral marketing techniques that are guaranteed to build you an email list.”

Also in Andy’s post, he mentions of course the creator of TrafficJam, John Reese.

The long and the short of both posts (both well worth reading) is that bloggers gain the advantage of having their writing seen and read, and in return marketers also get the edge on uncovering what people are talking about… in other words, this is a really cool research resource tool.

You’ll note that the conversation on Beard’s blog harkens back to February. Okay, so TrafficJam is no longer “brand spankin’ new” in that sense. But as a resource for getting the word out about your blog, and from a marketer’s perspective of needing to keep one’s finger on the pulse of what’s going on in the blogosphere, we think you’ll agree that this is a winner.

Have you been using TrafficJam? What has been your experience?

If not, what is your first impression of this as a potential resource? Useful, not…??
