With Permission Almost All Things Are Possible

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

In a world filled with blogs, social communities, forums and more, the one thing that still exists – and has lasted for more than 10 years – is a person’s ability to communicate with others using permission based ezine ad emailing.

Not to be confused with your “blast away” stuff. You know what I mean – your inbox and mine (I have about 40 of them) tend to overflow with unwanted and unasked for tidbits of information and outright slime mail.

However, internet marketers – be you brand new or “veterans” – need to reach out to others. Twitter works to some extent (?), Facebook, too, but when you want permission to email double opted in readers, ezines are the place to turn to.

The reason ezine advertising can be so powerful is people have chosen to receive these newsletters (ezines). Ninety plus percent of the time, ezine publishers built (and continue to build) their lists through the time-tested, double opt in method. In other words, people jumped through a hoop or two to make sure they received these time-honored publications.

Publishers who join co-ops do so with the intention of attracting new readers. In return, subscribers are given the opportunity to submit ezines ads. Some publishers even run solo ads, giving you exclusive access to their mailing list (and they do the work for you while all you do is supply the info).

We’ve been around a long, long time – ezine publishers – providing the strategy you need to reach out to others about home businesses, special deals, new software products, and much more.

Stop by (use any of the links in this post) and see what ezine advertising can do for you!

Google Limits Page Views Or As The World Gets Weirder

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Strangely enough, just before this “story broke” (actually it was hidden in a tiny little section of our local business paper which I detest – the paper and the hiding), a friend of mine running WorldNewsVine and I were talking about the people’s right to news and how it’s used on their websites and blogs.

I won’t get into the whole convoluted mess, but here’s the little snippet of information that, if anything, should get you to take a look at your own web site or blog if you provide feeds:

Google said it will allow publishers to set a daily limit on the number of articles readers can view free through its search engine.

What the…?!

So I went digging, and suggest you take a look at:

o News.Sky.com

o Sliceofscifi.com

Or just do what I did and type in “google limits articles” into their search engine.

Freedom is getting slimmer by the day people… we best be sticking up for ourselves – fair warning.

Build Your List Free Suggestions

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

If you publish an ezine or a blog (where you are willing to add a classifieds page), joining My Wizard Ads is right up your alley.

This ezine ad co-op has (and continues to be) been in existence since 2001. The premise is you get a new subscribed (not rss-feed, a real signup) to your ezine and/or blog in exchange for giving that person a bit of ad space (6 lines, 60 characters per line).

In a typical ezine, the ad is run in either the ezine itself, a classified ad edition, and/or posted online.

But blogs, too, fit the bill (see JustLavellsBlog as an example for bloggers – scroll down the page).

The way it works is Lavell, and all publishers be they ezines or blogs, receive a new reader they add to their own mailing list in exchange for running one ad for that new subscriber (who in turn is now a permission-based potential customer for you).

The process is simple.
The guidelines are reasonable.
The ability to build your contacts invaluable!

I highly encourage you to check into this master list building – FREE – technique.

Charity and Information A Great Mix

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

During the past week, we’ve been super busy!

A great addition to our Whole Hog Blog family is the not-for-profit website and blog for ALS of Nevada. The entire state of Nevada coverage for ALS patients and their caregivers is provided by just three individuals (and an outstanding Board of Directors). Two people cover the state, with another fine individual up in the Reno area providing assistance to those in need suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease.

We’d like to ask you to please visit the site, comment on the blog, and help get their traffic and alexa rankings rolling.

We’ve also added a blog to My Wizard Ads, an ezine advertising information blog. “Diane’s” first true business online after a several year stint as a publisher herself (weird talking about myself in the third, or would that be fourth (?) person). Day in and day out I field questions for not just the new but veteran internet marketer. Ezine advertising gives people the freedom to use other people’s lists as contact points to announce and promote the businesses and programs they join online.

Again, a visit to that new blog and your comments would be greatly appreciated, too.

Both of these new additions have do-follow linking, so your trip gains you that valued backlink in the process.

Enjoy!
