How to Take Your Marketing Offline and Make It Pop

Friday, October 28th, 2011

As an internet marketer, you’re sure to have noticed by now the big push to concentrate not only in the virtual world, but also stepping out into the physical world to get yourself noticed. This offline marketing approach takes many forms, and one of the most popular is by being a vendor at trade shows.

Offline Marketing Made Easy

If you’ve ever attended a trade show, you know that the use of visuals is the key. What draws your eye to a particular booth? Most likely it is the use of trade show pop ups. From trade shows to job fairs to retail stores, everywhere you look the company or person doing business is busy attracting your attention!

What’s truly great about using pop ups is the variety of choices you have – from large to modest – it’s all in the design and usage. Did you know they even make Velcro pop ups? Yes, just like back in grade school, there are displays that accept simple “stick ons” via Velcro. This way, each time you set up your booth you have the opportunity to rearrange your display, or stick – no pun intended – to the display that is pulling your best crowd.

Offline Marketing Pop Up Choices

Easy to transport, many pop up booths use a frame that also opens easily. Here are just a few features to consider when you decide to take the leap offline and visually show the world what you have to offer:

o Canopy style pop ups
o Accordion style pop ups
o Displays with internal shelving
o Ones with back lighting
o Table top variations… the list goes on and on actually.

Taking the Plunge and Meeting Your Potential Customers Face to Face

Lots of people love the internet for their marketing because it’s a faceless sort of way to try to make money. There are numerous online methods for advertising, but the wise marketer considers all options. Maybe it’s time you take the plunge and put yourself out there. Meeting people face to face can be highly effective when it comes to branding not only your program or product, but yourself, too.

Thinking Outside the Box | Pop Up Displays Offline Strategy

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

pop up displaysNowadays it’s getting a bit easier for some marketers to start thinking of ways that go beyond traditionally taught strategies and entertain the idea of participating at trade shows and using pop up displays.

What Are Pop Up Displays?

In an earlier post written in December 2010, I covered the idea of the professional look and feel of pop up displays. Today I’d like to take a different approach, just to get you thinking outside the box.

Have you ever considered the fact that what you have chosen to promote also could be marketed, physically, in a one-on-one trade show? And, if you’ve attended trade shows, you cannot miss the numerous use of the trade show pop up. Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, they are the wow factor that draws those crowds to specific booths, right?

So Why Would You Participate in Trade Shows and Use Pop Up Displays?

Think about it. Online marketing is an excellent, quick and fairly painless process. However, overall, online or offline, it’s work don’t kid yourself.

The challenge is to come up with new ideas. Perhaps you’ve never considered that many online programs also make excellent offline promotions. Yes, you may have to step outside your comfort zone, but the persistent marketer is always willing to challenge him or herself. “Going public” is a definite plus and being seen, shaking hands, meeting people, and making contacts – in person – can move mountains.

So imagine yourself at a live event, at your table, with others around you making more efficient and effective impressions by using pop up booths. You’d be kicking yourself, right? Especially if you knew how very easy pop up trade show displays are to transport, set up, and take down.

Choosing the Right Type of Pop Up Displays Made Easy

Available in table top versions, canopies and accordions (to name but a few), pop up displays are readily available for you to use. The question is… will you start thinking outside the box? Will you dare to add to your repertoire and try something different? The world awaits. You just have to make an appearance (with careful planning of course).

Online and offline marketing make the perfect combination no matter what program you choose. The only thing that holds you back from making use of offline promotion, and the impressive pop up displays, may be YOU.

Unemployed | Government | Environment

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Throughout the month of May, I’ve been an activist on behalf of the unemployed (primarily) and covering other news stories that just would not make that much sense on OIMS.

Here is a partial list of what I have written, which many visiting now may find useful. Many apply to current economic conditions, again stressing unemployment, unemployment extensions, Congress, job forecasting, and more. In a nutshell, they are:

Job Forecast Outlook Interesting Yet Misleading (May 8th)
DSCC Face Off GOP (May 8th)
Congress silence defeafening (May 10)

In addition I’ve covered 14 additional topics, including a petition drive to Washington on behalf of the unemployed, stories about mortgage fraud and… oh holy Toledo, just too many to list.

If you click here you’ll see the other news stories I’ve covered. Many may pertain to you and yours!

Just this morning there’s a new one up. It is an excellent, easy solution to cleaning up the oil spill environment. That particular one is definitely worth reading and watching. The idiots at BP still haven’t figured out how to shut Deepwater Horizon down, but two ingenious guys have a solution to surface problems.

So, as you will see I’ve been busy! I also highly enjoy writing. When (if) you visit, I have no problem asking you to visit some of the sponsors INSIDE the news articles. With a husband unemployed, it is a small way to help me and my family if you would.

Mobile Marketing And A Brand New Year

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Nothing beats using all forms of communication at your disposal when it comes to marketing and advertising. And mobile marketing is a great option to add to your array of reaching out to others this year.

Millions text daily, and many marketers are finding their bottom lines increasing through the use of this simple, yet highly effective, form of communication.

And, of course, marketing is not the sole purpose to texting. For example, the use of short codes can also be applied to any arena. Imagine how highly effective it becomes when schools and colleges use this lightening fast way of passing important messages! Student-teacher interactions happen at almost the speed of light! Class canceled? Voila you know! Campus security issues, again in a flash you are notified! Assignments altered? Due dates delayed? Again, using 8444.com, you (the student) are informed in a snap.

Actually, I am going through their site, and quite frankly there are just so many ways to use their service – too many in fact to list them all (hence for more about short codes, click that link). Their list of applications and vertical markets is quite extensive! And, with your own creativity and imagination, this large list has plenty of room to grow!

So is 2010 the year you incorporate mobile marketing? There’s just one way to find out. Find out if your mobile phone carrier includes the 8444.com service. You’ll find a comprehensive list (current as of December 1, 2009) here at 84444 Supported Carriers.

Pull out all the stops! Use all available methods of communication at (literally) your fingertips, and see what an exciting year this one becomes for you, your family, and your business online!
