Frankly today, I had no idea I’d be writing about a new opportunity that I am still investigating. If you’ve read the blog throughout and around the presidential campaign, you realize that Scott and I are big on America and big on growth. We’re also, just like you, hoping to see the economy turn around - quickly. That’s why when I came across Rebuilding of America, I was more than intrigued.

This past week, Janet Giacoma, a Whole Hog Blogger and extensive article writer, wrote to ask how does one add their Twitter feed to EzineArticles.com. Apparently, she’s heard through the grapevine, and has demonstrated proof from those sources, that adding (updating) your EzineArticle profile to include your other social identities can have real benefits.
Well, it could be me, but it did take some doing to locate the steps. Actually I had to finally just hold my breath and head to the EzineArticle blog, do a search for “twitter” and voila! here’s the results (quoting a bit of that forum post):
“Here’s the 6 simple steps on how to quickly add your social media links: (more…)

UPDATE 9/25 at 4:03 p.m. - we just test installed it and unfortunately while installation went smoothly, as soon as it was activated the entire blog disappeared - never fear just deleting the plugin brought the blog back online. However, we urge caution and read, read, read first
Now onto the information:
It’s great to have great friends, and this morning Linda Rembowski of ForcedGreen gets my high five award
She sent me information that you’re sure to want to investigate for yourself. WordPress Double Opt-In Manager Widget. (more…)

It seems a bit odd writing this post because as you read it, you’re already “doing it.” And, if you take the time to comment, you’ll even be putting it into practice (and getting some free marketing all at the same time).
Social media is huge, and blogging is one of the fundamental layers to using social media marketing to your advantage.
Being a blog reader - and again, commenting - also makes you a strategic part of the whole web 2.0 marketing hubbub. (Keep reading to get the stats AND find out what new “toy” is available online… for free!) (more…)

For anyone using RSS in any way, shape, or form, it’s always been highly advantageous to turn your feed into a Feedburner feed. With an Alexa ranking of 399, as I write, well that just speaks volumes in and of itself.
However, “recently” Google has acquired Feedburner. Yes, the huge search engine giant has taken over yet another website that started life online in a small way, but built itself up into something as awesomely huge in the RSS feed world as Google is to online searching.
Does this mean the service will suffer?
Well according to (more…)

Remember the other day when I did a big writeup about SocialSpark? I was going to do it anyway, but found just the fact of writing about SocialSpark could earn our blog $5.50 (and a huge bonus if it was chosen as the “best” post somewhere down the line).
Well yesterday the CustomerLove team approved that very post and in 30 days we’ll be receiving the $5.50 via paypal!
How easy was that?! (LOL, keep reading to find out)
Here was their process so you’ll have a feel for what’s what (including a screenshot of our SocialSpark inbox):

It’s been a day or two since our last post only because we’re happy to welcome a few new bloggers to our Whole-Hog-Blogs Network. And these new members receive the full treatment as we get blog choices decided upon, domains propagated, widgets ready, and plugins plugging
And, lucky for me, this evening while getting one of our newest acclimated to a new way of “marketing,” I came across (more…)

It’s amazing what you find when you believe you are searching for something else, and today was no exception.
Actually I was busy checking up on our bloggers using Whole Hog Blogs, doing some backlinking research, etc., when I stumbled upon Blog Carnival (thanks to Linda at ForcedGreen. She may not be aware, but it was tracking down her search engine placement that led me to this unusual website).
So with all the preamble, what is BlogCarnival? The best way to describe it may be to tell you what it ultimately “looks like” with the finished product.

Last week we wrote about testing out SpicyPage, and how quickly this website got listed in Google in connection with our Online Internet Marketing Strategies (OIMS) blog. Well, this morning, while tooling around dropping Entrecards and commenting on other people’s blogs, <!–more–>I visited one of our static websites, Stress Relief Management. While I marveled at the PR4 reading I was getting (with zero on Alexa - but that’s another post down the road), it triggered me to go check our Whole Hog Blogs listing in Google.
Lo and behold, a comment I had made THIS MORNING praising a blog in SpicyPage was already showing in Google! Here’s proof:
