Why Some Web Sites Make It And Most Do Not

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012

In a day and age where internet marketing gurus typically provide only the most basic of affiliate pages for you to promote, it is critical that you keep in mind the importance of the content that goes on that page. Ideally, developing your own web site is the key. With your own web pages, and command over them, you have the ability to provide what the search engines are after… content, fresh content!

However, search engines far outstrip the average person’s ability to keep up with changing rules, regulations, and algorithms. In fact, just trying to stay ahead of that game keeps many individuals and businesses from entering the all-important online arena. Ask yourself how many times you have been aware of the need for your own web site, but have yet to implement this need. Most likely the reasons are varied – from building the site, to optimizing your web site, and adding that much-valued content every web site demands.

Yes Content Is Still King

For a while it seemed that there were ways to get around the need for actual content on one’s web pages. Every trick in the book is tried, has been tried, or will be tested. Search engine algorithms, an artificial intelligence if you will, catch on to these tricky deeds so fast that sticking with developing real information, meaningful content, is your safest way to ensure longevity and entice readers and clients to return again and again.

Yet, writing quality content is not for the faint of heart. Whether your business is large or small, your web pages must continue to receive attention. Unfortunately, often you will find that keeping up with the pace necessary is highly demanding, extremely difficult, and a skill set you just do not possess. The fact remains, however, for any web site to grow, fresh content through the addition of growing web pages is necessary. You must set your sights on great content both reader-friendly and search engine worthy.

Search engines, spiders, bots stop by (typically based on the settings assigned the web site overall) periodically. These artificial intelligence “creatures” are hungry to find fresh information. If your web site remains “static,” in a relatively short amount of time these AI robots stop visiting; slowly but surely your web site falls deeper and deeper into the search results until it “virtually” disappears.

What Sets a Web Site Apart, Really Makes It Stand Out?

Website Content Development is an art form. The competition each and every person and business faces online means relying heavily upon the best:

o Web site design – really eye catching
o Search engine optimization – or don’t even bother
o Mixing it up in the social media arena with talent and skill to do this correctly
o Developing a solid email marketing campaign, and
o Having a secure, efficient, effective e-commerce process.

Before you hit the web, be sure your web site is running at its very best and providing exactly what your clients, customers, and readers want. Mix all the key ingredients together for the perfect online “soup,” and always remember that content is king; do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

Are You Overlooking This Major Internet Market?

Most internet marketers target their promos toward the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. However, there is a vast, untapped market in the middle east.

What To Do When You Can’t Find It

Monday, July 12th, 2010

The internet is, of course, loaded with freely accessible information. However, the most common problem is sifting what is useful from your search results. With potentially millions or more returned results, most people stick to the first couple of pages of any given search engine.

Unfortunately, you don’t always find what you are looking for… right?

That’s when you potentially “run into problems” because the link or two or three you choose might put you on a web site selling expensive access to the information that you were trying to find at little or no cost.

It’s actually the norm for internet marketers to price things high. It’s called “perceived value”, and they feel that if you don’t shell out a large chunk of cash, you may not feel whatever they are selling or doing is “worth it”.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Solid information on internet marketing exists. Videos, tutorials, ebooks, pre-made websites and more are all available at prices you’d expect to pay at say your local book store (and I’m talking you choosing paperbacks over hardback books).

So, don’t be fooled with the latest (or not even latest) or greatest “come on”. Yes, I do suggest you check for bargains using the above hyperlink. You’ll be amazed at what you find and how much you do NOT have to pay.

Marketing Breakdown Or Just Life Shouting Out

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

As you can see by some of my most recent posts, I’ve taken a bit of a departure from “internet marketing” and ventured into the world of life in general (and sometimes specific). The reason? Sometimes you just need a break, need to shake things up a bit… expand your horizons.

Now I do have something most amazing to tell you, on a personal level, that might help you, too (!), but first let me remind you to (more…)
