Whether you are currently employed or unemployed and wondering what to do, where to go, how to achieve positive results, these resources can help put you on the right path.
Let’s first start off with what you can be doing while you are unemployed since gaps in your resume can be red flags to potential employers, filling that “down time” demonstrates to anyone interviewing you that you’re doing your best to stay active – not only by doing worthwhile “things,” but also making contacts.
And here are several more areas to investigate. These include information you need to know, things you need to be aware of, places and occupations with the greatest potential, along with occupations that sound good, but are overrated.

What Not To Do – Ways to Not Annoy the Person Interviewing You

Each of the above resources provides valuable information – more so perhaps for those unemployed seeking jobs – but worthwhile to all to help you keep your job.

I’ve been so darn busy that it’s been a few days since I had the time to stop and do what I love… post something new on this blog.
However, it was worth the wait since we have several new resources you’re sure to find worthwhile, including information on how to start or get a job offline or on.
The first is Knol: A Unit of Knowledge. Not unlike a blog or wicki (or maybe just like a blog or wiki lol), Knol is a byproduct of Google where you can “share what you know and write a knol.”
With a PR of 7/10 (it’s Google’s own remember) and Alexa rank of 1 (again, it’s Google’s own), you can’t go wrong posting stuff you know and getting it listed and indexed in Knol.
The second item we’d like to share is a resource called Big Hit System, a pushbutton marketing resource run by a great guy named Steve Russell. Steve has put together the tools and resources you need to get the job done online. The best part? I’ve spoken with Steve and discovered another (gasp) online marketer willing to – yes – pick up his phone! He’s also been online long enough (since 2003) to know of what he speaks – another rare commodity and huge bonus for you! They even provide you with no obligation information on the home business right for you.
And while this next one is not new, if you’ve been hearing about the canonial tag and are still confused about whether you need to use it or not, that bolded link will take you straight to Google itself to read all about it. Best to get information like this straight from the horses’ mouth versus trying to interpret a third party’s interpretation. Website owners, article writers, and anyone with possible duplicate content on the same domain should read up on this “new” tagging system.
Last but not least, if you’re looking for a job or a change in career, head on over to this information found at the AARP website. You do not have to be of retirement age to benefit from these job suggestions. They provide
10 ideas to help you make extra money fast. Again, these ideas are for ANY age and they even suggest “going rates” for what you can charge, how to get started, and more.
Remember if you found this or any of our other posts and pages of interest, please comment. We love comments! (And it’s free marketing for you.)

During the past week, we’ve been super busy!
A great addition to our Whole Hog Blog family is the not-for-profit website and blog for ALS of Nevada. The entire state of Nevada coverage for ALS patients and their caregivers is provided by just three individuals (and an outstanding Board of Directors). Two people cover the state, with another fine individual up in the Reno area providing assistance to those in need suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease.
We’d like to ask you to please visit the site, comment on the blog, and help get their traffic and alexa rankings rolling.
We’ve also added a blog to My Wizard Ads, an
ezine advertising information blog. “Diane’s” first true business online after a several year stint as a publisher herself (weird talking about myself in the third, or would that be fourth (?) person). Day in and day out I field questions for not just the new but veteran internet marketer.
Ezine advertising gives people the freedom to use other people’s lists as contact points to announce and promote the businesses and programs they join online.
Again, a visit to that new blog and your comments would be greatly appreciated, too.
Both of these new additions have do-follow linking, so your trip gains you that valued backlink in the process.
Enjoy!

Today I’m going to reference you to a new forum that’s slow to get off the ground, but with enough interest who knows. It’s called Blogovela and while I just created an account there, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t, do be advised that the activity on it at the moment is a tad on the slow side.
And speaking of slow, the economy isn’t getting any better (as we’re all aware) while the Republicans (sorry it’s true) play their frigging games – as the rest of us hang my our fingertips hoping the layoffs and business shutdowns and rising unemployment stop soon.
So with that in mind, I’d like to reference you to the newest post (as of this moment) over at our Solo Ad Explosion blog. It’s all about video games, cheats, consoles, etc., and also you’ll find information on how to get paid to play video games.
Steve has done such a great job explaining it all that I’ll let you take the quick trip over to discover if making money playing video games is up your alley or not. Even if it’s not for you personally, maybe (especially during these tough economic times) you’ve got kids that can help bring in a few bucks doing what they love to do anyway.
Definitely worth looking into… And while you’re at it, write to your Representatives, Senators, and The Whitehouse itself and tell them to get the show on the road for heaven’s sake!

With the Super Bowl taking up most of today, that’s still no reason to miss out on some potential money making ideas for yourself online.
And we’ve got a truly interesting idea for you today.
Almost nine years ago, when I was just getting into the publishing online business, a friend of mine was running (and may still be, we fell out of touch) a highly successful catalog-type business – yes from online!
At the time, I was extremely busy doing other things, although in the back of my brain I knew she was on to something.
So, lucky you! This morning I came across how you can grab yourself a Free copy of Retailers Forum Magazine.
RetailersForum is going digital. Until recently it was only available in its offline form. However, now they plan to each month – on the 1st of each month – release their current free digital version!
What you’ll find are wholesale items like:
o Jewelry
o Apparel
o Gifts
o Novelties
o and more
They are even throwing in “informative business articles.”
RetailersForum offer to you is straightforward and very simple. They are inviting new startups or established businesses who need to find merchandise to read their free magazine!
Let’s face it, with times like they are having options to make money online is without a doubt critical. This company has been around so long that they helped others back during the recession of the 80s and 90s.
RetailForums has been in business since 1981, and it’s definitely worth a little effort on your part to visit that link above (put down the nachos for just two seconds) and see what they can do for your business online and off!
Enjoy!
