Charter Cable Is At It Again

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Last month I had the opportunity of letting you know about Charter Cable’s April Sweepstakes and it turns out the fun never stops over at Charter!

While I didn’t think anything could top the huge package they gave away last month, May is turning into another one of those “holy cow!” don’t miss opportunities for everyone looking to switch their cable services.

My first suggestion is you visit their page and read all about Charter’s Free Gift Card Sweepstakes. It’s so easy to register and wait until you hear what you can win:

o $5,000 grand prize worth of gift cards
o $1,000 weekly prizes worth of gift cards

-1

Now how exactly could you use that many gift cards if (when?!) you’re the lucky winner? Well, of course, you could start with your family and friends giving them gift cards to Charter Cable, and THEN move on to your clients and customers! What a great business incentive gift! And all those gift cards would not have cost you a dime.

Oh, and I don’t want to forget to tell you that, of course, entering to win is, as always, free. So you’d be insane not to enter. Literally, “The contest is open to anyone and no purchase is necessary.”

But Charter Cable doesn’t stop there. So many other cable companies never give a hoot about existing customers, but as an existing customer if you order anything online at Charter throughout the month of May you are automatically entered into their “win to receive $75 or $150″ worth of gift cards, too! And, in addition to entering via the contest page above, each new customer is also entered into this part of their May contest I just mentioned.

Think of the wild, unexpected birthday gift to give to Aunt Sally or Uncle John! And in this economy, they most certainly would appreciate it :)

And… Did you also know that it’s easy to keep up with Charter Cable on Twitter? Yep, they have made it easy for you to FollowCharter on Twitter, so be sure to add them to your Twitter account so you never miss a beat.

Last month, an HDTV a day, a grand prize of a home theater system, and one year of their service with HD programming.

This month, up to $5,000 in gift cards! What will they think of next?!

When A Picture Postcard Really Is Worth A Thousand Words

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

We often concentrate hardest on what to do online with regard to marketing and advertising online. Marketing programs, products, and services is an art form, not to be undertaken lightly. Serious consideration to how you are going to go about achieving your objective – traffic, new clients, new sign ups, etc., – is critical to your success.

However, how many of us seriously take the time to investigate contacting those not online on a regular basis? Believe it or not for all us cyberspace crazies, people do enjoy getting special messages yes by snail mail! There are those (and yes I count myself among them) who joyfully go to their mailboxes each day in the hopes of letters from friends and family and even interesting internet offers.

So the question is… When was the last time you researched offline advertising to add to your online mix?

Well not only is today a holiday in many parts of the world (particularly the U.S. I’d imagine), but it’s also your lucky day :)

Vistaprint is offering great specials for those looking for offline ways of connecting with potential and existing customers. Vistaprint postcards come in a variety of sizes and colors and layouts. You can even design your very own (or for those graphically challenged they have plenty of choices ready-made for you).

Browsing their ready-made postcards is a breeze. They actually give you the option to select one from the “board” so to speak or search by keyword, industry, style, or purpose.

Or, of course, if you are logo and word-ready, customize your own.

The one thing we do know personally about Vistaprint (we have used Vistaprint in the past for our business cards) is that your order arrives exactly the way you ordered it, and in a timely fashion. And, it goes without saying, that their prices are very affordable for just about any entrepreneur, business, or home business marketer.

My suggestion this Spring and on into the year is to supplement how you market online with branching out to reach those offline.

Yes postcard campaigns can get expensive, but I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with your visit to Vistaprint’s postcard possibilities.

And Happy Easter!
