Bear with us and read this entire post if you’re truly interested in the whole “make money online” thing.

The question comes up quite often, “How do I monetize my website or my blog?” More often than not, most people have done the obvious and joined a program either like Google’s Adsense or that program itself.

Joining Amazon-like programs, and pulling products out of places like Clickbank also often head the list.

Did you know that this resource has been sitting patiently on this blog’s sidebar since its inception (both the resource and our blog - and btw, I had no idea until right now I was even going to mention it, this portion of the post was planned to be much shorter lol).

I just logged back in again and counted all the tested and recommended ways a person can monetize their website. While that is not the be all and end all of this particular resource, I can tell you there are 35 listed ways inside. Thirty five (35) ways to enhance your website or blog to pull in (potential) income. These are programs where you join (usually for free), follow instructions, and place (potential) money-pulling “things” on your website and/or blog.

So if you’re only interested in a few more “chump change” methods without proper training (there’s more to this than slapping something up - like what about traffic, you still need traffic - which by the way this resource also covers) you might be tempted to stop reading, but don’t!

Because this post isn’t done…. keep reading :)

I used the expression “chump change” not because monetizing isn’t a good thing to do, it is within reason, but because there is an even more valuable resource you need to pull from to get your own money-making machine rolling.

While each of the above is a good, potential source for making money on your site (be it website or blog), how about pulling from a resource that ONLY YOU can use….

That mystery resource…. you!

The one and only thing unique on this planet is each of us. We may conform in ways to a group, but deep down there is only on “me.” If your “me” is someone you can rely on to get the job done, why not use that one resource that will never fail you… you.

If you’re one of millions asking yourself and the world at large, “How can I make money on the net?” and you’re not afraid of a little hard work to make it happen, then using yourself, your knowledge, and your interests can be “lucrative.”

In earlier posts, we’ve spoken about several methods you can use to start the cash machine rolling.

Guru.com
SocialSpark
Hubpages

Guru and Hubpages works for anyone, with or without a website or blog. SocialSpark is a bloggers heaven for making money (and a great source for advertisers themselves).

Our recommended resource lists six additional sources not covered here, along with 14 more resources for making money what we like to call “the back door” way.

NOW… let’s explore the real reasons behind success or failure.

Your personal problem - if you’re still trying to figure the whole “internet money” thing out - may be your desire in the moment to take action and do something to make the income roll in - and your lack of determination to really ensure it does.

I deliberately put the word “almost” into the title of this post. The reason why should be obvious, but in case it’s not let me explain.

“Thanks for sharing some great information here and I will start to implement this soon.”

The above (totally appreciated!) on a much earlier post of ours has us wondering, “Did he or didn’t he?” (Sure wish he’d come back and let us know). Overall, people are receptive to ideas. The downside is that a vast majority are looking for some “easy route” that really does not exist.

Flash in the pan money while “flashy” and fun is extremely difficult to keep duplicating. You most likely “got lucky” and find yourself on the next venture wondering why you can’t do the same thing you did before. Was it a fluke never to be done again?

Our guess is yes! Because your Aunt Sally is wise to you now. Now you are up the creek without the proverbial paddle (and possibly ducking Aunt Sally for the rest of your life).

This particular post could have been titled in a variety of ways, some “kind” and some not so. For instance, a nice title would have been, “How to tap into your own unlimited resource to make money online.” Yet another (not so nice), “Put up or shut up.” (Which Digg might like LOL)

The only thing that stands in your way is you and what you really do with the information above.
