Think Last Place Is A Bad Spot To Be In Think Again

Monday, May 25th, 2009

If you missed this earlier post about Susan Boyle then I’d say you’ve been living under a rock, but I’d mean it kindly. Susan has the entire world on the edge of its collective seat, and last night was her second chance to shine on Britain’s Got Talent.

If you haven’t heard her sing yet, start by listening to her audition first.

That one they didn’t enable embedding, so you will have to head to YouTube, but do it’s really worth it. Even if you’ve heard her already, hearing it again will just make your heart sing.

And last night, while I agree that someone (I hear coaches from Britain’s Got Talent?) tried to influence the way she does her thing, it only took a stanza for her to get back inside herself, dig deep, and pull out what we all were waiting so breathlessly to hear… SUSAN singing.

To rate Susan’s second time on the show you’ll have to click the link to get over to YouTube.

In the meantime, they have let people have access to this second round, so for your viewing pleasure on this wonderful Memorial Day, we present the talented Susan Boyle singing “Memory” from the musical Cats.

THE EMBEDDED VIDEO USED TO SIT HERE – they disabled the streaming so just use the link above (the voting one) to get to Susan Boyle’s semi-final video.

Before you leave – or better yet look around for marketing and advertising helps, tips, and how to’s on this blog – there is a reason (besides her voice) that Susan is bringing so much hope to so many. And a reason as to why this post is up today.

With the world in the shape its in, yes the entire world, don’t we all appreciate a moment, that little ray of sunshine that says everything is going to be okay?

Susan Boyle is also a living example that you should pursue your dreams be they online or offline without hesitation. It took her 47 almost 48 years to get where she is right now.

Those online thinking it will be or should be a breeze to riches, think again. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens overnight. Nothing happens without putting in the time, putting forth tremendous effort over and above anyone else in your chosen niche or product promotion.

For those looking to make a living online, use Susan Boyle as your example. Remember to stay the course, remain true to yourself and your goals, and work you arse off to get what you want… success!

Happy Memorial Day to those in the U.S. and a wonderful upcoming week to all!

Internet Marketing Mentoring Coolness Bar None

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Our great friend, Janet Giacoma, will soon be opening a brand new blog (domain as yet undetermined), but I just had to share what I consider the coolest advertising picture around.

What makes this even cooler than just the graphics alone is this woman knows her stuff. Every statement she makes is true, and knowing her personally, I can testify to the fact that she works her buns off (for herself and for you) and does still find the time for leisure (fun!) pursuits – and she even has time for Meals on Wheels each Wednesday.

Marketers like Janet Giacoma and Maureen Heiden (to name just two) are just “common folks” like the rest of us. They are beating the system not through magic or pie in the sky programs (where the sky falls and hits you hard), but by pulling through using their sheer determination to win, in combination with a large amount of brain power, research, and know how  – to attain their goals.

What sets these two apart and prompted this post is they both have one thing in common – a plan.

Not just a “keep it in the back of your head and pray the fairy godmother will fulfill your wishes” plan, but a true sense of fair business, techniques that work, and – most importantly – the willingness to share their knowledge with others.

Too many out there are selling you outdated junk, stuff they’ve long overused and now wish to turn a buck selling to you. If it’s not overused software, it’s ridiculous ebooks that common sense alone – or heck just taking a wild guess at – would have brought you to the same resources and/or conclusions.

While I highly advocate finding the right internet marketing mentor, I strongly advise finding… the RIGHT internet marketing mentor.

So enjoy the really cool photo shoot (go ahead click on the picture.), and drop by these two women and say hi. You won’t be sorry.

But before you go don’t forget to comment or you’ll miss out on free marketing for yourself!

Turning 18 Is This Serious?

Friday, May 8th, 2009

So at 2 minutes til midnight last night (11:58 pacific time), my son turned 18. Never has something so simple seemed so complex. He’s always been a serious child, now I watched as he felt as if the weight of the world had descended on his shoulders.

It wasn’t that long ago, when turning 18 means more joy and freedom. I can understand actually where he’s coming from… turning 18 in this economic conditions has got to be if not fear-filled at least an anxious time for many growing up “kids.”

He didn’t mind, so I’m helping celebrate this big event with/for him. Until Sunday night, May 9th, you’ll find a special surprise if you click here. If you come late to read, and the page is gone…. sorry!

Happy Birthday Sean – may you truly and uniquely enjoy being an adult!
