Alvin and the Chipmunks | A Blast From The Past

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.

Once upon a time there wasn’t a Saturday morning that would go by where Alvin and his sidekicks weren’t watched by “us kids.” And, it seems once again that More Munk Mayhem has become extremely popular – very trendy in fact.

For families with young children, and/or if you are a Chipmunk fan in your own right, the new “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” is available on DVD, Blu-ray and, actually, you can make life very easy on yourself via digital download, buy it now.

Frankly, I just do not get today’s cartoons. Often dark and what I consider to be filled with violence, I long for yesteryear’s light, bright, and totally engaging cartoon return. Yes, I am a die-hard fan of the Saturday mornings of old, filled with Bugs Bunny, Underdog, even Mighty Mouse. And, again, Alvin and his gang were always a part of every weekend morning.

Today’s parent is lucky indeed. Keeping your children entertained through music, a bit of chipmunk mayhem, and the ever popular sing alongs, Fox Family Flicks even has a double DVD pack of fun that should keep your kids amused for hours on end!

And, as an added incentive to give your children some quality online fun, be sure to check out Munk Yourself in 3 easy steps. It’s actually very cute. You select your character, customize your choice, and create your own audio message. A great way to teach your young ones computer skills without them ever catching on :)

Anyone Else Hear That Echo?

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Okay, it’s not as if the internet isn’t flooded with social communities. In fact, they are coming out our ears. I know it, and you know it. Trying to stay in touch with all of them is – well let’s just say it – a nightmare.

That’s why I almost passed on the latest invitation I received, but something caught my eye.

Does the word “money” mean anything to you?

EchoLoops has an interesting premise. The email I received stated the fact that Facebook and their like are making millions, and that means we are the ones making them so popular. EchoLoops, with its growing traffic numbers, is willing to advance your rankings in the search engines (by being a part of the social circle, these things get indexed fairly easily and you can be there, too). They also mention “rebate checks” for shopping, along with combining the power of Facebook, YouTube, games, shopping, etc.

Now, I haven’t a clue where this will go since I do not (unfortunately) possess a crystal ball. I have filled out my profile in much greater detail then several other spots I thought I would haunt. I’m working on the angle that the more you say, the better things go. We shall see. In the meantime…

Signing up is free. And if you’re just a tad tired of any particular circle that’s been running you around in circles, EchoLoops just may be your answer.

Enjoy!

How Important Is The Right Monitor?

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I’ve been shopping off and on for the right monitor for my computer. I have several in the office – using the LED one being my preference.

The thing is it’s just not large enough to open multiple windows efficiently. The volume of work and the arena I work in (training bloggers and helping online advertisers) often means jumping from one spot to another.

I did run across some very reasonably price information on a hd monitor. Price per price – or pound per pound – those in the UK (in particular) would do well to check them out.

In fact, having seen many of the varieties listed on their site at our local stores (so I have a feel for what the actual visuals will be like on a particular model), I’m truly impressed with their prices.

Let’s face it, nothing beats seeing a large selection all in one spot for a bit of comparison shopping!

Here’s to me finding the ideal hd monitor for myself!
