Pet Versus Our Animal Friends
Frankly I detest the word “pet.” People who have “pets” versus “animal friends” seem to think differently. I’m sure it’s not meant to be unkind, but I’ve seen “pets” lonely and neglected, left in backyards, never walked, never played with. Maybe they receive more inside their homes, but these are living creatures – not something that comes with a label.
They are animals first, and – if you’re lucky – they become your best friends. Here’s a wonderful video that hopefully has you thinking in the right direction not only toward your existing “pet” turned animal companion and friend, but for all those in need of GOOD homes.
