Strategies That Have Been Consuming My Life and Yours?

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

Ah how life gets in the way of itself.

Recently, I’ve taken on an additional task of both Editor and columnist. And, the topic of the “day” (one long endless day consuming hours, days, even weeks of many millions of people’s lives) has been the antics of what happens when our government representatives get together.

One primary group of people struggling to figure out successful strategies to stay alive are the group becoming known as the 99ers. This no-where-to-be-found-with-representation group are those who have long since exhausted unemployment extensions and benefits. I’ve been covering a lot of news and options for them, because, living in Nevada, sooner or later this may have a direct impact on our family life as well.

So, as you travel the internet reading posts, news stories, articles and the like, remember those who have nothing.

Also remember that websites and blogs post “advertisements” for a reason. They are not just “pretty pictures” or “additional words” for many it is a form of financial livelihood.

Tina Fey Casts Off Palin Shadow With Date Night Movie Release

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.

While many people will remember Tina Fey portraying Sarah Palin, along after Palin has slipped into obscurity, they are not likely to forget her in the Date Night Movie.

Set to open Friday, (April 9th 2010) Fey, along with Steve Carell are a “bored suburban couple” who just want to get out (don’t we all) and have a little fun. A dinner out, how crazy can that get?

Watch this trailer :)

Director Shawn Levy of “Cheaper by the Dozen,” and “Night at the Museum” fame, came up with the concept for this movie from his own date night routine with his wife. During such an outing, by the time they had finished dinner, the movie “Date Night” was born.

The movie centers around, while that part is obvious enough, a night on the town. Two people taking what they believe will be just another weekly dinner date to an all time high. Carell stated, “It’s a bit of shock therapy for their marriage. They’re content and sort of placid, and they need to stir things up.”

The plot centers around this staid couple, content to a point to repeat their date nights over and over, going over the top (really spicing things up!) with a bit of breaking and entering, a car chase, a shootout, and the final showdown with a strip club’s underworld boss that rounds out this action-packed comedy.

I’m sure you’ve seen lead-ups to this movie on TV. Date Night is sure to be one of those edge of your seats comedies (not often linked in one’s mind, yet apparently so). Go this weekend! Why not make your next date night, a real “Date Night” and have a blast!

Pulling it all together can be time consuming, frustrating, and (if done incorrectly) a complete waste of money when a business is ready to announce itself to the world.
