Free Link Building Not Just For Beginners

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Believe it or not, it is hard to explain link building, trust me. For a few years, a business associate (and good friend) and I had a thriving business that was built strictly for the purpose of building links in the search engines, using natural methods.

The trouble was even though those signing up knew right from the get go that the membership was about building links and nothing more, still the questions would come… primarily “where’s my traffic?”

Building links is one of the many objectives you need to set for yourself to be successful online. So, when a service offers free link building and the tools to get the job done, then you would be foolish not to investigate.

Recently I came across a website called Free Link Building Tools that must have Google’s approval since they’ve got a PR, and their Alexa and membership numbers demonstrate they are growing. In fact, as I write they have 2,894 registered members and 1,786 registered domains. (You’ll be able to see for yourself when you click through to check them out.)

What I like about this website is there are no huge claims, just lots of good information, along with tools for webmasters to get the job done. Don’t be fooled, you do need to know (or know someone who does) how to:

o Install simple script coding on your website and/or WordPress blog, and

o Read and follow directions so that your domains are added and linked up correctly (to reap the benefits).

And, to be truly successful and get everything setup right, I’d highly recommend you first read their Tips section. One article in there, called Link Building Etiquette not only explains the benefits to exchanging links, but also how to do it properly – from who and how to link, to proper titling, to essential information you need to know first to make the most of this search engine optimization trick of the trade.

Not all links are created equal, however, Free Link Building Tools is a resource you will want to thoroughly investigate.

Get Paid to Drop Drives Traffic

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Granted this post is aimed at bloggers and those who would like be become successful bloggers, but it’s also one that will show you that by combining your efforts, you can make money online.

This is not a quick way to pay the bills, however, if you have never proven to yourself, not once, that you can make money well here’s a good way to start.

And, the wonderful added bonus is… you’re driving traffic to someone’s web site, and (if you list yourself) you, too, will receive a flood of traffic in return.

So on the positive side your traffic count goes way up (thus way down in Alexa and those entities out there counting traffic stats) and you have that must-have action – the chance to put your blog in front of a real person’s eyes (so be ready and make sure your business plan is clear-cut for other’s to grasp when they get there).

On another positive note, you can (more…)

Why Beat A Dead Horse?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

First, my apologies for the title and all horse-lovers out there! I often find myself using the expression, “You can’t swing a dead cat without…” However, I am lucky to have two wonderful feline friends and I try (seriously) to make sure they are out of earshot when I make the remark LOL!

So what THIS post is about is to refer you over to one I just made on the My Wizard Ads blog. It is very pertinent for all internet marketers, yet redoing it here would be… well redundant. And, I just finished that post up and if I say so myself I did a decent job :)

Now I’m off to work on the two newest members to our Whole-Hog-Blogs Network family – Joe’s Time Life Travels and Ron’s All About Alternatives. I just love blogging, don’t you? And getting people up and running and successfully driving traffic to a well-thought-out blog is gratifying. (Starting a blog often sounds easy; too often people just give up without proper blogging coaching, mentoring, and support.)

(BTW, Joe Eisenbeil’s travel stories are not to be missed! He’s been traveling the globe for more than 60 years and his perspective is truly unique!).

Now don’t forget to read the above post over at My Wizard Ads (or you could be very sorry).

Ciao!

Why Thinking Backward Is Best

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

I received this from my father (don’t know who sent it to him), and I almost didn’t listen. However, curiosity getting the better of me I clicked the link in his email (whereas I’ve just posted the video below to make it easy for you).

Here’s the email that came with the link:

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite.

This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant. Make sure you read as well as listen…forward and backward.

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled “u @ 50″ by AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it.

(If you have a good monitor and a great graphics card you’ll be able to read along. However, even if you cannot see the words, listen with your soul wide open.)
