Sitting Still Is Not Going To Help You

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Whether you are currently employed or unemployed and wondering what to do, where to go, how to achieve positive results, these resources can help put you on the right path.

Let’s first start off with what you can be doing while you are unemployed since gaps in your resume can be red flags to potential employers, filling that “down time” demonstrates to anyone interviewing you that you’re doing your best to stay active – not only by doing worthwhile “things,” but also making contacts.

And here are several more areas to investigate. These include information you need to know, things you need to be aware of, places and occupations with the greatest potential, along with occupations that sound good, but are overrated.

Organic Dark Chocolate Gift Baskets

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Having finally figured out the mysteries to dieting, (which is not at all that mysterious – figure your BMR and count your calories), I am safely back into a size 4 (might even be 2 if I get to the store to try on some jeans).

The wonderful part in addition to weight loss is there is never a day that goes by when I don’t eat quality dark chocolate. Yes, chocolate (daily) is a part of my food pyramid, but only quality dark chocolate!

So I was thrilled to discover a way to get naturally organic, gluten free and ethical fine dark chocolate! For those who need to know, these Pure Hawaiian chocolate gift baskets are also “kosher.” The saying also goes that this Intentional Organic Dark Chocolate is “infused with the spiritual energy of experienced meditators” who personally trained with the Dalai Lama.

Wow, now that’s some dark chocolate! :)

With the holidays upon us, consider giving a meaningful gift of health and pure delight to your family and friends. And, be sure to check out Intentional Chocolate and visit their Intentional Chocolate Blog!

Happy gift giving!

Your Office Chair Your Most Important Tool

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

For years I’ve made my living working at home, of course from the internet. This often requires sitting for hours on end (no pun intended). Without the right tools, serious health problems begin to raise their ugly heads.

I’m here to state loud and clear that Office Chairs should be at the top of your list. Sitting at a computer keyboard on a folding chair, kitchen chair, or someone else’s used office furniture is never the way to go.

Think ergonomics! Also understand what the function of your chair is really going to be used for… executive, manager, or task chairs comes to mind. Each has a specific purpose, each is designed with a specific job in mind!

Look for quality built furniture, ergonomically shaped for your body. Arm rests are a must since you need to have a place to rest your arms while the computer “does its thing.”

Recently I had the huge pleasure, after 18 years using the wrong office furniture, to acquire THE PERFECT CHAIR!

In just a short time, I have noticed such a huge difference. I am no longer sore and limping around the house after sitting for long stretches of time.

Of course, get up! Every now and then you must move about, get the blood flowing.

But above all, look for the proper office chair, and a great place to start is Spacify.com. They have a huge selection to choose from… you’re sure to find exactly what you need.

By the way, they ship to the United States, Canada, and Internationally :)

Happy sitting!

Job Projections Through 2016 A Starting Point

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Whether you currently hold down a job in the real world, are looking for a change, or are currently unemployed and wondering what’s looking good for potential employment in and outside of the state you live in, I’ve found a great place for you to start your hunt.

The ALMIS State Projections website – a work in progress – can help those within the United States determine their career path.

What you will find is an ability to do extensive searches, find statistics useful for plotting immediate and long-range goals. It’s a database website and the only “what is this all about” is summed up on their front page: (more…)
