The Amazon of Innovation The Design Mind Group
New ideas, new products, and new inventions are just some of the things you’ll find over at the Design Mind Group on the web website.
I started to write about them the other day, but ran into a bit of difficulty with the web link. I’m glad I waited. Their entrance page leads you into a world filled with:
o Cutting edge products – a huge selection actually of over 10,000 different products, competitively price. And the site includes a fast, simple checkout system (always a plus!)
o Recently released “concepts,” and
o A New Products Division focused entirely on working with products in early development.
In addition, they have a U.S. based online store as well as a UK based online store.
Living in the United States I choose to look around the store set up for where I live. This U.S. sitemap includes:
o Auto parts
o Cell phones
o Computers
o Electronics
o Health and Beauty
o Home and Garden
o Sports
o Telecommunications
o Toys and Games, and
o (The mysterious) “Other”
One product that caught my eye, believe it or not, is their metal detectors and accessories. There have been tons of stories in our local Las Vegas Review Journal about people heading back out into the hills to pan for gold and search for artifacts. In this economy, we’re nothing if not creative
However, their New Products Division is well worth checking out. They even offer a section filled with advice called, “8 Tips to Invention Success.”
So if panning for gold isn’t your thing, and if you’ve been reading this blog carefully, stepping outside the normal ideas of making money online is one of our fortes. Also, calling upon oneself and ones own creativity is another.
With their 8 Tips, you’ll be able to evaluate whether that invention that’s been floating around in your head has the wherewithal to put into actually application. I won’t spoil it by telling you what you need to look for, be aware of, and strive to achieve – they do a great job letting you know (so do read that section).
While “relatively new” to the internet (the site was developed in 2008), it’s a growing community for both shoppers and inventors alike.
Stop by the Design Mind Group and explore for yourself!

This is such a good idea, when it comes to making money we have to learn to think outside the web/box. There are many different ways to make money and thinking of an invention or new gizmos that could just be the lucky break that one needs. jj

Hi jj-moms! If I had a nickel for every “thought” that I never turned into an invention and then later on TV or online… holy cow LOL! Yes, if you have an idea or innovation follow up on it! There’s a fortune to be made for those “Only $19.99″ products just for starters

The search engines are a start for looking up how to get patents, etc., and attorney help to make sure it all gets done properly. Local references might be a good idea. Check any potential “we will help you” website or offline business through the Better Business Bureau, etc., before committing to any one source.
