Jazzing Up Your Advertising

I’ll be the first to admit it, when it comes to graphics I absolutely… am horrible. Being extremely partial to the written word, my banners and buttons tend to be more than a tad amateurish.

However, today while stumbling through Stumbleupon, I came across the most amazing list of font types sure to please anyone during their creation process.

Fontso.com must have literally hundreds - all listed in wonderful alphabetical order. You can get the details and preview your choice first, or just download it directly.

In addition, there’s a great section that tells you how to install new fonts once you’ve taken a zipped file down to your desktop (or wherever you want to save them). Making a folder for just “New Fonts” might be your best bet.

Operating systems come with a standard line up of available fonts. They use the most common - with variations - to help ensure that (most) browsers can read what you’ve written.

My thoughts with these new fonts would be to use them to create your new header graphic and/or banners. This way your chosen font is embedded within the image and (should) show up on the other guys computer in the font style you’ve selected.

With the holidays coming up, why not take a journey through their A to Z listing of new font possibilities?

Enjoy!
