For The Truly Skeptical Further Proof and Resources To Use Your Talents And Make Money Online
Recent posts (and throughout our archives), we demonstrate proof that there is money to be made online. And today’s post will be no exception to that rule. In fact, you’ll be downright excited at the prospects if you choose to keep reading! (We give you facts and figures for the truly skeptical that support what we’ve been advocating… blogging/writing your way to wealth).
How Much Do Top Tier Bloggers and Social Media Consultants Get Paid? We Asked Them! provides three directions bloggers can take to make money doing what they love – chatting to the world. From pay per posts, to being an in-house blogger, to heading to the big time – consulting – are all given an overview if you click that link.
In addition, recently in WebProNews, I came across even more information on how much people make blogging. This one actually cites dollars and cents to truly inspire you! Again, it’s more of an overview, but it does quote numbers.
Then I headed to Google and started a keyword search for information on monetizing one’s blog.
30 Ways to Make Money Online is actually an archive of posts made during the month of August 2008. If you click thru, head to the bottom of the page and read up – it was an 8-part series with three methods per part. You may know some of them, or none of them, but there are definite ideas to be had just by visiting.
Though started a while back (and sidetracked with political posts), my aim for making this post is to assure you that you can make money online. Instant, overnight wealth? Most likely not. But for those willing to put forth the effort, yes it is definitely possible.
In fact, I’m often asked which direction someone should go to create a presence online. Ten years ago, without hesitation, my answer would have been “create a website!” However, my answer nowadays is while, yes indeed, you can create a website, don’t forget what you are really after – a fast-track to visitors and search engine listings – traffic!
The easiest way to set yourself up for that money gathering is (again as we constantly suggest)… blogging.
A conversation with our newest member to the Whole Hog Blog Network, Maureen Heiden of MyTangibleWealthBlog, recently (and prior to her joining our growing network), was truly revealing.
As Maureen stated, there is so much information out there, given out in bits and pieces – or deliberately made confusing so you’re at the other person’s whim and mercy to beg for crumbs (my interpretation not hers!), that trying to figure out how to pull it all together is a nightmare.
Having a dedicated system that covers everything from branding oneself and one’s products and services, to getting that luxury of all luxuries – real human traffic – is completely possible. And, I don’t need to remind you that that’s exactly what we do over at Whole-Hog-Blogs.
We even have proof positive that adding a blog to an existing website that struggles for placement in the search engines (beyond a typical domain-level listing) is a surefire method to boosting not only your indexing, but your traffic rank – and all within an amazingly short amount of time.
No longer do website owners have to wait weeks, months, or years to get where they need to be – discovered when someone searches for what they have. If you own your own domain, adding a folder and placing a wordpress blog in that folder, and working your blog attracts instant attention day in and day out from the search engines and the social communities online.
When all is said and done, the number one resource everyone needs is traffic. The “guaranteed traffic” sold online is not what it claims to be – it has its purpose, but do not expect real humans to show up. To find out what this type of marketing really is, read this.
Once the traffic machine is rolling, all of the resources listed above help provide you with the means to make money online – or give you directions and/or instructions on how to achieve your goal.
As a parting note though, one thing you must keep in mind is that any business opened without a business plan and strategy is doomed to failure. You need to work from the top down, the bottom up. You must know what your “mission statement is,” and how you plan to implement your online presence step by step.
One logical way is to be sure to create a resource worth revisiting (we hope we achieve that goal here, even if all the material is free for the reading, taking and using).
Work on becoming the authority, brand yourself along with your product or service, and provide the highest level in quality – be it product, service, advice, etc., – and you’ve got yourself a road map for success online.

Thanks for referring to my series of articles 30 Ways to Make Money Online (http://blogginghelpline.blogspot.com/2008/08/30-ways-to-make-money-online-week-1.html) . I get a few visitors now and then from this link. But that is not the point. More satisfying for me is that people are getting required information and I have been providing value to the.
Now it is not that I am returning the favour, but in all honesty, I found your article really interesting. It is concise, practical and points towards good resources. This is what I try to do in my articles as well.
I fully resonate with you when you say “you can make money online. Instant, overnight wealth? Most likely not. But for those willing to put forth the effort, yes it is definitely possible”. Making money online is definetly possible, but like anyother venture, it requires efforts, plans, brains and execution (at least in the start. Later on, one can ride on the wave, doing just si=ufficient to maintain momentum.
Thanks again.
