Written by diane on October 27, 2008 – 9:49 am -This morning cruising through Social Spark, I happened to come across a new search engine that is so simple to use, yet highly effective.
Find.com - how easy is that to remember! - has no intentions of being the next Google. However, what they pride themselves on is enabling you to take the shortest route between two points. Read more »

Status Quo Facts That Will Boil Your Blood
Written by diane on October 26, 2008 – 1:04 pm -One of our “tenets” in our tag line for this blog includes “hot topic news” and this most certainly fits the bill. Please read on!
I must be having withdrawal symptoms since my favorite MSNBC news shows air only Monday through Friday. So it’s digging deep into our local, “switch sides every other day” (sound familiar?) local newspaper, The Las Vegas Review Journal that grabbed my attention this morning.
Actually much of the following - other than my own two cents - comes from a section of the paper, the Las Vegas Sun (don’t ask me what their relationship is - but the one does stick in parts of the other). And, just so you know up front, the Las Vegas Sun endorses Obama.
The first tidbit I’d like to share is along the lines of “is wealth distributed properly in this country.”
Here’s a shocker for all us working “Joes and Janes” (thanks Palin) - from Sunday’s Parade Magazine:

What’s Wrong With This Picture Little Sheep?
Written by diane on October 25, 2008 – 3:49 pm -
Okay, before you actually start looking for a picture, the title is merely that… the title of the post. However, it does serve a purpose.
If you read the post prior to this, you’re already aware of the discussion about “spreading the wealth.” Since it’s Saturday, and sort of a free-for-all day to make posts, I’m pursuing this subject a tad longer.
In today’s Las Vegas Review Journal, an article about McCain stumping in Colorado is on the front page. The portion that caught my eye was this: Read more »

When It Rains…
Written by diane on October 19, 2008 – 10:03 am -This is just a very short post, hopefully to be replaced with a much larger one today or tomorrow. On Tuesday my hip and leg started hurting. By Wednesday, I was crawling out of bed on my hands and knees. Having no insurance coverage, I was also stressing all the nasty “what ifs.”
However, from my husband’s last (laid off) job we did pick up the COBRA coverage. On Monday, I’ll be heading to the doctors to see what the heck did I do to myself. Read more »

Written by diane on October 12, 2008 – 11:38 am -Just for Fun Sunday…
My father sent me this earlier in the week and I only now got around to opening and reading it. The caption above the image reads:
Halloween Is Going to Suck This Year!!!

He also wrote (on 10/3/08):

Maybe Your Surroundings Are Holding You Back From Bringing In Wealth Online
Written by diane on October 7, 2008 – 9:38 pm -Today doing some of my favorite type of marketing, stumbling at StumbleUpon, I came across an amazing website by a lovely woman by the name of Carol Olmstead.
Whether you want to believe it or not, your surroundings very well might be the thing holding you back from collecting “wealth,” no matter what you perceive wealth to be or mean. Read more »

Written by diane on October 6, 2008 – 2:12 pm -Like many around the country, we’re dealing with some unemployment issues ourselves. Not directly online, but within our own family. Pork Stuffed Bills And The Cycle of Democracy
Written by diane on October 3, 2008 – 11:44 am -In his book “Democracy in America”, Alexis DeTocqeville (circa 1848) had this to say: ” A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of Government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse (a liberal gift) out of public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that Read more »

Recap Rant And Everyday Heroes
Written by diane on October 3, 2008 – 10:58 am -Yesterday I promised you a truly eye-opening and heartwarming story for this post, but first my recap (rant) of what went down last night during the Vice Presidential debate. As we gathered our pizza boxes and drinks and settled down with an atmosphere not unlike the Super Bowl, here’s my conclusions:
First off, my understanding ever since grade school (no earlier, ever since the first time your parents asked you a direct question), you answer the question. Only kids and people with something to hide dodge a direct question. Frankly, even in marketing, it’s best to say, “I do not know, but I will find out the answer for you!” then to pretend you are either answering it or worse yet saying, “I don’t want to answer that question, instead I want to talk about…”
I wasn’t expecting rocket science from Palin, Read more »

Without Growth Everything Whithers and Dies Will You Be Responsible?
Written by diane on October 2, 2008 – 12:55 am -As a reader of this blog, you know our aim is the day to day pursuit of helping you be successful. Politics was never on the menu… until this evening. I’ve got stuff to say and I’m going to say it.
You know what the trouble in this country is? It’s the inability for the people of this great nation to gather as one voice and declare, “We have had enough!”
To this very day, rather than have to exert the fraction of mental energy involved to come to logical, well informed, decisions, is it true that people are just blind little sheep wanting to be lead? Read more »
