How A Freebie Just Might Save Your Job or Enhance Your Marketing Online
Tonight, while getting some marketing for us caught up and ahead, I came across this great blog called Freebie Reporter. This blog is chalked full of all those wonderful freebies most of us love, enough to fill anyone’s wish list.
How about free magnets, tattoos and stickers; free Betty Crocker Warm Delights Minis; a free 2 gig MicroSD card from ConsoleSource. These three are just the most recent posts I saw this evening. There were lots more, a freebie lovers dream come true!
However, the one that really caught my eye was the ability to learn a new language… yes, for free!
Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German and a whole slew of other languages using Byki free software.
Their website states:
Register for Your FREE Language Software
* Start learning a language in minutes.
* Your free software includes a full working copy of Byki Express, plus a collection of lists to learn your chosen language.
* It’s free and you can use it forever with no time or session limits.
* We think you’ll like what you see and hear!
BYKI then goes on to list I believe 58 different languages on their front page. Literally from A to Z (Afrikaans to Zulu), if this is for real, wow!
I’m off to sign up and see what the skinny is and hope you’ll also take a quick peek yourself.
Learning a new language just may be the job skill that keeps you employed or gets you that new position! Linguistics is extremely impressive on anyone’s resume!
And, in terms of marketing online, being able to communicate in another language is sure to come in handy!
* * * * * * * * * *
And speaking of communication… don’t forget to leave your comment!
UPDATE: Yep, I signed up for free (it was painless), took a break from posting, and tested it out. Works like a charm, though the download lists are a tad confusing. But, never fear, you can study right online – flash cards, audio/visuals, and a whole slew of lists in each language to choose from… Enjoy!

Cool. I took Spanish in high school and college and of course never used it so I don’t remember much. I would love to study a language again, especially if it’s free.

@Lindsay – you’ll find this very handy as a refresher or pick up a different one. I think when you have one under your belt (the way you do), it might make it “easier” to learn another and another. No way for me to tell, after four years of French many moons ago, and never using it after high school, all I remember is bonjour LOL!

Yep…I don’t remember those 2 years of German either. The rest of the freebies are pretty cool also!

I love free stuff! I need to get over there and dig up some goodies! I know that blog has some good finds on it, but I’m always too lazy to follow through…

@Barbara – I think some people just have a gift for languages, the rest of us struggle and never comprehend (me personally falling into the 2nd category)!
@TheFitnessDiva – I know you’d know this one – since I visit your blog all the time via the Firestorm marketing forum
Yep, finding the time to take advantage of all the freebies is the tough part LOL!
