Time To Talk Video Again And Why Your Website or Blog Is Losing Out Without It

Back on the 15th of February, we did a post about YouTube videos. In that post, we talk about the benefits of putting video on your site either by creating it yourself (a possible chore) or pulling in existing videos from YouTube and other video storage web sites.

The simple fact is videos are good business. As a marketing strategy, not using video is not a very bright thing to not do.

People love watching videos! Whether entertainment or to learn specific marketing techniques or review programs and products prior to purchase, having video on your site is a for-certain winner.

Also back in February, we started our test of the YouTube Video Websites In a Box software. While “Scott” is our tech guy, I’m the one that took this challenge on – mainly to see is it as easy as the creators claim it is to pull keyword specific video together and upload it all to one’s website or blog.

Happily, the answer was, of course, yes! If you look down our left-hand sidebar, under the Blogroll, you’ll see massive amounts of video created with – and this is the god’s honest truth – a few clicks of a button. The only “time consuming” part of creating is heading out to YouTube to first investigate your choice of keywords. You don’t want to go too broad, people tend to post unrelated videos in broader category titles. Keep it specific and start the very tiny desktop software application.

Yes desktop! No installing huge scripts to your server, this little puppy runs exclusively on your own computer. The visual is about the size of a popup to gather the information together.

You will want your Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliate ID on hand if you are also going the extra to monetize the pages that will be created. Not a necessity, you most likely won’t get rich, but hey every penny counts, right?

Then you give your video a Title (use the keyword of course in the title), put in up to five keywords (I use one since I want very specific videos). Your next step is to designate a storage spot on your own hard drive (backups are handy!), and also put in the FTP information to the folder on your domain.

You then click a “Copy Files” button, sit back for a second or two, and voila! Instant keyword-related video on your website (or blog).

So why would you bother? I’m sure you’re wondering that… In terms of search engine back linking, relevant content that changes all by itself (also loved by search engines), and content applicable to your blog, another benefit is the visitors you receive to these pages from out on the web. Our stats are filled with the oddest of searches, things we would never have thought of ourselves, all generating visitors to our domain. With a link in the template at the top so they can get to this blog, we’re now an easy reach for people who might not know we exist.

generate youtube videos create website video pagesGetting back to the search engines, you’ll also find massive amounts of links to these videos – remember all sitting on your domain – in Google, Yahoo! and the like. With over 8,400 links in Google alone (to today and since February), a very decent portion of this linking has been achieved by the use of the YouTube Video Websites In a Box software.

Our goal here at Online Internet Marketing Strategies is to test and recommend proven winners when it comes to not only internet marketing as a whole, but social media marketing in particular. You’ll find adding video, quickly and easily to your domain, a surefire winner!

And here is a more than gentle reminder… You know how we are always showing you the very best resources – most of them free. Here is a tremendous resource. It’s not free, but it will make you so much money it’s worth ten times what you’re about to invest in it. Show you support for OIMS, follow our lead, and buy your copy today!
