The Antics of Margie & Edna For Sunday Fun
Written by diane on June 29, 2008 – 7:33 am -Woke up this morning and, as always, (thanks Entrecard users!) we had requests from advertisers through the Entrecard service. Logged in, did my approval thing, and then started dropping cards.
I try very hard to make numerous comments as I do this - sort of the whole point don’t you think? Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t, but I give it my best shot.
Lucky for me I was paying close attention this morning! Read more »

Written by diane on June 26, 2008 – 1:54 pm -Just a bit ago, I received Websitepro’s newsletter and they have “exciting” news! They have developed their own “search Twitter” website, which hopefully, will allow like-minded people to make contact (and make it a whole lot easier to do).
If you use Twitter this should Read more »

Why Your Two Cents Is Worth More Than It’s Weight In Gold
Written by diane on June 24, 2008 – 1:58 pm -Everyone, everyday, has the ability to dramatically boost their positioning in the search engines. It doesn’t matter if you are a blogger, a website owner, or an affiliate homeless at the moment promoting other people’s products (though we recommend at least a redirected domain name to that product).
And, not so strangely enough, this marketing technique is completely free.
Today let’s really focus our attention on this one tiny marketing method with rock solid, gigantic benefits.
We speak of… Read more »

When Ducking A Guru Might Be The Wrong Move To Make
Written by diane on June 22, 2008 – 8:03 am -If you’re tracking stats on your own blog, and you should be, there will be posts that you make where you notice lots of activity. Ideally, you (like us) have your hopes up each time you post that your readers will do more than read (which is always cool), and stay to strike up a conversation with you (in the form of comments).
Well we’re no different than you
We track things. We love to track things! It just may be an obsession around here!
So in going back through our visitor logs, there is a striking up swing whenever we talk about ways to Read more »

Fired Up Becomes Fireworks With SocialSpark
Written by diane on June 19, 2008 – 8:59 am -Remember the other day when I did a big writeup about SocialSpark? I was going to do it anyway, but found just the fact of writing about SocialSpark could earn our blog $5.50 (and a huge bonus if it was chosen as the “best” post somewhere down the line).
Well yesterday the CustomerLove team approved that very post and in 30 days we’ll be receiving the $5.50 via paypal!
How easy was that?! (LOL, keep reading to find out)
Here was their process so you’ll have a feel for what’s what (including a screenshot of our SocialSpark inbox):

How One Thing Takes A Back Seat For Another - Blog Stats Hunting
Written by diane on June 18, 2008 – 9:11 am -I’ll have to pull today’s post idea (it’s already written lol!) and make that one tomorrow, because this is just too good not to pass along to you right now.
As many know, Wordpress is right up there at the top when it comes to choosing a proper blogging platform. While they have a freely hosted version, we’re firm believers in putting things on your own domain and handling the job yourself.
With that in mind, one of the great things about Wordpress is Read more »

Fire Up Your Online Earning and Advertising Potential With SocialSpark!
Written by diane on June 16, 2008 – 7:30 am -(If there had been room in the title I would have also added “and make money or advertise” with this great Alexa Traffic Rank 8,567 service.)
A while back we signed up for SocialSpark one of those rare social media marketing websites that give both bloggers and advertisers a central location to either make money (bloggers) or find lots of willing individuals to write about your program (advertisers). Of course, that’s not withstanding that once written about, the advertiser, too, stands to see a potential huge increase in sales
So what exactly is SocialSpark and why should you join?
For openers, Read more »

Why Grassroot Movements Work and What’s Up With That Money Thing Anyway
Written by diane on June 14, 2008 – 5:53 pm -Today, you’ll notice a new 125×125 widget on our blog (over there by the Entrecard on the right go ahead look!), and by the time you get done reading this post we’re hoping (betting?) you’ll be excited about the prospects of this NEW GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT, too!

How Even a Couch Potato Marketer Can Gather Intel and Advertise for Free
Written by diane on June 11, 2008 – 9:58 am -[My preamble]
To all the bloggers visiting, reading and commenting, not only do we thank you but we salute you
And to all our not-currently-blogging visitors, not only do we thank you, but we encourage you to take a hard look at the material being provided on this blog. If you’re still wondering “should you start a blog” you are missing the ride of the century (and also the crest of the wave?) by delaying. Each day someone somewhere is putting up the perfect blog in your field or passion, and is, therefore, going to be lightyears ahead of you (assuming they know the “tricks of the trade”) before you even make up your mind.
[The guts of this post]
That said (it’s so important, it’s why we keep “harping at you!”) today I’m going to re-examine a social media spot explored several moons ago, and provide you with proof why this one is worth a little effort. Read more »

Rotten Apples and Real Winners How to Tell the Difference
Written by diane on June 10, 2008 – 11:40 am -This past week or so has been very interesting. There are several “new” things out there all being promoted like crazy. Funny how some are very successful (for the affiliate owner) while others just languish into nonexistence.
However, this is not a post of praise. Sure there ARE many fine, young and old, upstanding affiliate program owners out there who really give a damn if their affiliates are successful. You can tell these individuals from the crap (sorry but it’s true!) because they are fully involved in ensuring your success. They offer lots of tools upfront for advertising and marketing, and keep things fresh and current for newly arriving individuals.

Time To Talk Video Again And Why Your Website or Blog Is Losing Out Without It
Written by diane on June 4, 2008 – 8:46 am -Back on the 15th of February, we did a post about YouTube videos. In that post, we talk about the benefits of putting video on your site either by creating it yourself (a possible chore) or pulling in existing videos from YouTube and other video storage web sites.
The simple fact is videos are good business. As a marketing strategy, not using video is not a very bright thing to not do.
People love watching videos! Whether entertainment or to learn specific marketing techniques or review programs and products prior to purchase, having video on your site is a for-certain winner.
Also back in February, we started our test of Read more »

Solid Marketing Advice In An Uncertain Internet Marketing World
Written by diane on June 3, 2008 – 12:51 pm -Today was one of those days where I found myself on the phone quite a few times talking with advertisers using our My Wizard Ads service.
Besides form submission issues, there was a striking thing each phone caller had in common.
Each person:
o Was new to the world of internet marketing
o Had yet to spend tons of money marketing
o Is in a prime position to take the bull by the horns and do something for themselves.
The chance I speak of is that of Read more »
