The Jury Is Still Out On BlogExplosion
This morning I started to test out BlogExplosion (yes a blatant use of our affiliate url lol!). And here are my thoughts on is this worth your trouble or not…
In terms of getting tons of traffic, I’d have to say there are much better and faster ways to gain visitors to your blog, BUT I am not shooting this service down at all.
Far from it! (You just need to think outside the box!)
When you’re in a kick-back sort of mood and needing some relaxation in the form of finding new blogs you’ve yet to discover, logging into a easy account like BlogExplosion is just the ticket.
BlogExplosion is the “startpage” (or as people call them 10 years later “traffic generators”) of yester-year only this time for blogs. Actually quite clever when you think about it.
I do need to warn you though that at the free level you’ll want to use this program in a different manner unless you have a lot of time on your hands. Worry less about building credits (I’ve been surfing a while now and don’t even have a full credit built up yet), and more about using it to look for other blogs using the Blogcatalog, MyBlogLog, and Entrecard widgets!
Of course before you start surfing, make sure you’ve first logged into all three accounts above. I like to open a separate Firefox window for my traffic building programs, and a second for “doing stuff,”… in this case testing out the surfing.
On the postive side, I’ve already dropped a few cards and made a couple of insightful comments on other people’s blogs (of course leaving my name and link back to our blog).
Getting started is simple. Sign up for free, put in your blog information, and wait for them to approve you. Then, you surf (not rocket science).
You never know where you’ll meet your next best friend or client for that matter!
BlogExplosion gives you that easy going spot to explore if you’re not expecting too much without upgrading
QUESTION: Using BlogExplosion-like programs? What’s your take? Please comment, it’s good for us and GREAT for YOU

I’ve never had much luck with any of these “surf for credit” type directories/services as far as getting tons of visitors. But they do have their uses as you pointed out. I compiled a list ofother similar sites as well. Again I didnt spend a lot of time on these sites as far as building traffic goes.

Good morning blogme! What a great list and thanks very much for putting this link here in this post!
As a voluntary blog approver for Blogexplosion I’d advise anyone who is thinking of submitting an affiliate blog to think again. We have been asked not to approve ‘affiliate’ blogs. The system was designed as a blog exchange for ‘ordinary’ blogs, like you say good relaxation.
I’ve got an affiliate blog too which I run on the traffic exchanges which I think are suitable.
Thanks for visiting my site and leaving a comment
