There’s Cash in Them There Blogs or How to Make Money Doing What You Love

Written by diane on March 9, 2008 – 2:41 pm -

This post is for all the up and coming, and/or still struggling, bloggers online who just know there is money to be made doing what they love… writing blog posts!

Similar to making money by freelance writing, and hiring yourself out to individuals through companies like Guru and eLance, there are a bunch of websites out there just waiting to pay you to make your next post all about them.

The beauty is in the variety. Lots of topics to choose from, and each company listed below seems to have almost a niche. And, even if you’re a diehard blogger, it’s almost (I said almost) certain that making a bit of cold hard cash every now and then wouldn’t be such a bad thing… right?

So last night I did my homework and found out a bit more about the companies many are using as they blog their way to the bank. Hopefully you will find this additional bit of research helpful as you pick and choose your next virtual “employer.”

Associated Content

PR 6/10

This paid to post website has the look and feel of “prweb,” a higher end product for the most part. Furthermore, Tim Armstrong who presides over Google’s North American sales and advertising, sits on their Board of Directors.

They offer a lot of category choices - from arts & entertainment to automotive to opinion to prose and more. Should be something for everyone here.

I did not know this was true. what an opportunity to try out… thanks to you!

  2. Lynne Says:

I’ve submitted articles to AC. I really like them, they pay okay and they pay fairly quickly. I just don’t have a lot to write about for them. It’s different than writing blog posts.

  3. Lynne Says:

I do quite a bit for PPP. I like them, although it can be nerve racking reserving an opportunity. There are 1,000’s of other bloggers all trying to get the same ops.

Blogsvertise has only provided me with a few ops over the last few months.

I like AC, although it’s different than writing blog posts. You write articles about a variety of topics and submit them for approval and payment. I’ve had 5 or 6 articles that I’ve been paid for.

To Linda! Thought you’d enjoy reading this ;)

To Lynne, thank you! That’s what we needed (and could use more of hint, hint anyone else reading!), first hand experience with this way of making more money online! You’re a peach!

  5. Denise Says:

I didn’t know about all of these sites. Thanks for the great information.

Hi Denise! You are most welcome :) I’m positive this is only the tip of the iceberg really - keep us posted if you find more! And your results if you give it a whirl.

I used to do a few PPP but u need to be aware that google will take away your PR - you are being paid for the link not for the 1.5 people reading your blog entry!

    make money with online…

It also got me to wondering what it is that people get from these things. Do people really draw motivation from this stuff? I have been reading Darren Brown’ s Tricks of the Mind , or at least re- reading sections of it, this week. He points out that…
